Kru Joe Marchand is the founder and head instructor of Fifth Round Muay Thai, bringing nearly three decades of experience in Muay Thai, MMA, boxing, and striking arts. With a deep respect for the craft, Kru Joe has dedicated his life to coaching, training, competing, and studying under world-class coaches, including extensive time learning directly from Ajahn Burklerk in Thailand, Kaewsamrit gym in Thailand and is a founding member under of MAS Thaiboxing under Kru Chris. 

At Fifth Round, Kru Joe leads with a focus on strong fundamentals, technical precision, and a safe, structured learning environment. His coaching style blends traditional values with modern training methods, helping students of all levels—from beginners to fighters—develop skill, confidence, and discipline.

Kru Joe is one of the most experienced coaches in the country and shares his vast knowledge with the Fifth Round members from day 1 beginners to Veteran athletes.

-Head coach of over 35 champions (World, international, National and provincial) 

-Assistant coach to 80+ Champions

-3x Professional Muay Thai Champion 

-Professional competition experience in Muay Thai, Boxing, Shoot boxing and MMA 

-Competed in the world famous Lumpini Muay Thai stadium in Bangkok Thailand 

-Competed globally (Thailand, Mexico, Bermuda, USA) 

-3x Amateur Muay Thai Champion 

-Silver medalist at the 2007 WMF World Muay Thai Championships
